Well thanks for the feature @popsugarfitness and hellooooo to everyone who just recently started following me! Here’s a quick intro for any newbies here ???????? My name is Rebecca and I lost 100 pounds over two years by (essentially) doing the three things outlined in the Popsugar Article: tracking my calories (I started by using the app @myfitnesspal but now follow the IIFYM diet) giving myself breaks every now and again to keep myself focused and on track (80/20 rule of tracking) and working out everyday! I have maintained my weight loss for almost two years now and was featured on the cover of @people magazine last year for my story. I’m 27 years old and live in the Philly suburbs with my boyfriend (#bae). I’m a personal insurance sales lady by day but want to be a mom when I “grow up” ???? and find ways to continue to share my story and help others realize that they are capable of making a change just like I did ???????? I’m the same girl after losing 100 pounds: I still love a good rosé and pink dresses ☺️????I just had to force myself to focus my efforts and motivation on losing weight. I was happy and loved life when I was heavy but just didn’t realize HOW MUCH happier I could be if I took control of my health to lose the extra weight. I’ve always been a driven and dedicated person: I just had to consciously make the decision to focus that dedication on weight loss. What are you good at? What are you passionate about? Think about if you put as much effort into weight loss as you put into your hobbies or job. I wasn’t good at working out. I didn’t know how to cook healthy food. I thought for something to taste good it had to be smothered in cheese ????????‍♀️???? I had no willpower to say no to the yummy desserts at the office and drank wine on random Tuesday nights because I wanted to. I had to finally say ENOUGH when I reached 246 pounds ????????‍♀️ I wasn’t good at working out but I went and did it every day anyway. I sweat and I jiggled and I was one of the heaviest people in my Zumba class but I kept on going because I decided it was time to be dedicated. I didn’t know how to make healthy food taste good so I subscribed to cooking light and experimented and forced myself to try new things and cut my portion sizes even when I didn’t want to. I stopped drinking alcohol during the week and made myself stay committed week after week because I KNEW I had the drive: I just had to force myself to focus that drive and dedication on getting healthy.
